Is there anyone out there who longs for students who like Math and are competent at it? Or do we all believe that Mathematics is just for some special people those who "get it" and we just accept this and make it through each day.
I was a Fulbrigth Fellow to Finland in 2006. The observable differences in pedagogy and students performance have divided my life into to periods: BF and AF, namely before Finland and after Finland. I am interested in discussions about how to teach mathematics for success and understanding.
